School Tours

We have conducted multiple tours of the school over the past few weeks with two more to go this week. Our guests have been universally impressed with the beautiful campus but more importantly our students and staff.

Sporting News

Congratulations to our Senior Softball Team who are premiers of the AGSV /APS competition having remained undefeated during the season, well done to Taylor Dykstra and Elizabeth Moore who coached the team. Congratulations to Wendy Andrews, James Petropoulos and the YVG Junior Swim Team and Steve Treadwell and the YVG Secondary Swim Team who competed at the AGSV Swimming meet at MSAC on Friday. The Secondary Boys’ team finished 4th (just pipped for 3rd by 2 points) and the Secondary Girls’ Team finished 3rd. These are great achievements at a very competitive meet. In addition, the Junior School SSV team competed in the regional finals at Aquanation on Friday - thanks to Steve Kenna for his support of the team.

Social News

The Presentation Ball for the Year 12’s at ‘The Centre Ivanhoe’ was a resounding success! My thanks to Carolyn Waddington and Lucy Murray for making this happen. This will be followed this Friday by the Year 11 Social at Bramleigh Estate. Mr Ellul is having some big nights out. The Food, Wine and Music Festival on Saturday evening was outstanding, our musicians were in very fine form and the social gathering beforehand was a great community event. Monday was the YOG Golf Day at the Metropolitan Golf Club. With 120 players, this is becoming quite a tradition at YVG. My thanks to Rosie and Kim for their organisation and promotion of this event.
